110V wet grinders for idli and dosa batter
A wet grinder has two problems in the US, not one. India's power is 230V at 50Hz; America's is 120V at 60Hz. A transformer fixes the voltage, but the motor still spins about 20% faster than it was built to. Buy a model made for US power.

Capacity is the drum, not the batter. Soaked rice and dal swell, so you'll get more batter out than you put in.
Why the 60Hz label matters
Mixer grinders mostly use universal motors, which don't care much about frequency. Wet grinders use induction motors, whose speed is set by the frequency of the power. On 60Hz a 50Hz motor turns 20% faster, with more heat and wear on the stones and belt. US models are wound for 60Hz.
Useful extras
